2025/2026 Tidewater Waldorf Tuition

Our community values being open to families from diverse backgrounds and financial positions.

We have created a sliding scale tuition to provide a more inclusive education option, while also allowing our school to remain a sustainable and thriving community.

We ask that each family upon registration look at their family budget and come up with a tuition amount they can commit to for the entire year. While taking this into consideration please know that we are all making a financial stretch in our commitment to be here. The decision to invest in education is a significant one for most families and can have a profound impact on your child’s future. We hope that your tuition commitment will feel sustainable for your family while also supporting the larger school community.

Early Childhood Sliding Scale Tuition:

  • Annual Tuition $4000.00 - $6000.00

  • Monthly $400 - $600.00

Grades Sliding Scale Tuition:

  • Annual Tuition $5000.00 - $7000.00

  • Monthly $500.00 - $700.00

*Tier 3 monthly tuition is closer to reflecting the amount it costs for one child to participate in our program. The difference between Tier 3 and Tier 1 tuition will be made up through our community wide fundraisers throughout the school year.

The annual tuition is divided into 10 monthly payments starting August 1.  We divide our tuition over 10 months even though we are only in session for 9 months in order to support our teachers as they plan and prepare over the summer for the school year.  The monthly tuition fee will be the same for each month school is in session. This is a full year commitment and we are hoping all of our students can finish out the year! We understand that this is not always possible. Please provide 45 days notice if you need to leave the program.

Supply Fee
There is a once a year supply fee which will go to cover the cost of materials used by your student in school, including but not limited to: paper, books, watercolor supplies, beeswax crayons and colored pencils, wooden recorders, chalk, yarn and handwork materials, bean bags, etc.
